It is daunting to accept tragedy, loss and sadness as being in accord with God’s will, whether he planned it or only allowed it. Over the years, Jean-Pierre de Caussade (1675-1751) has been of significant help to me in this regard.
Everything that happens is an opportunity to deepen my relationship with my good God. Every experience can be, if I am willing, received as means of drawing me nearer to God’s heart.
In my experience, the _only_ way to inner release and joy, to healing and stability, is through receiving all that happens as a part of God’s ultimate, and good, plan.
Coffee/tea thought: Let these words of Caussade wash over you as you go through your day today:
“God’s will is always good no matter how it may appear at the moment.”
