Barren wilderness. Men trying to kill him. Circumstances not seemingly conducive for worship.
But a deep moment of worship came. What mattered wasn’t circumstances but the longing of David’s heart reminding him of God’s unfailing love and care.
“You satisfy me more than the richest feast.
I will praise you with songs of joy.
I lie awake thinking of you,
meditating on you through the night.
Because you are my helper,
I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.”
— Psalm 63 NLT
Coffee/tea thought:. May God use my circumstances at this moment to create in me a heart that sees _him_ and rests in his care. Lead me to worship You, my good God.
