The Anglo-Saxon Alcuin (735-804 AD) wrote this ancient blessing:
May the eternal Creator look upon you, and preserve you in the grace that He has poured upon you.
May He rule your mind, direct your ways, and illuminate, strengthen and confirm your thoughts in all goodness.
May He forgive your past sins, and protect and defend you against present and future sins.
May the hand of the Lord be your helper, and His holy arm grant you help all the days of your life.
Coffee/tea thought: Is the Holy Spirit speaking to you in a deep way through one of those phrases?
