A century ago Charles de Foucauld wrote in his private diary that his only desire was to do God’s will.
Then, in great honesty he wrote: “But alas, I have so little love for Jesus that I dare not call him my Beloved. Yet I want — I long — to love him more than anything on earth or in heaven. My heart and my life are his alone.”
Coffee/tea thought: Do you resonate with Foucauld’s honest evaluation of his own heart? What might God be inviting you to respond to him?
